Ordering Information:
Submitting Your Order
When submitting a printing order, you are requested to complete a printing job request either on-line (available August, 2007) or we can complete the job request for you. There will be some jobs that you will want to come by our office to see samples or choose papers.
We want to be of as much assistance as possible and we will always appreciate your business. This job request tells the Printing Department staff exactly what your job will require. The Printing Department is divided into several production areas and each may be involved in some manner with your request.
The job request is assigned a job number, which enables us and you to track the order throughout the production process. Please be as clear and accurate as possible in supplying this information. If you are in doubt about the functions you may require, our order clerks and other staff will be happy to assist you. Just give us a call at 325-2251.
Submitting a Request for Reprints
You may find it necessary to order reprints of your order. For a rerun (other than a copy center job), send a sample of your order along with the previous job number, if available, to us. The Printing Department will then be able to pull your electronic file by last job number and run additional copies. The cost for reruns can be substantially lower because prepress work has already been completed.
Submitting a Request for Updated Reprints
Occasionally an order will need only minor revisions before printing. If your order was originally typeset or designed by the Printing Department, bring us or send in campus mail to mail stop 9608 a sample with all corrections clearly marked and the previous job number (if you have it). Our typeset staff will make the necessary corrections and you will be sent an electronic proof or you may proof a hard copy if preferred. Updating orders can also be substantially less costly because only corrections need to be typeset rather than re-designing the entire publication.
